The Ascent is a 6 person backyard sauna in solid red cedar, with a pitched steel roof and a 9 kW WiFi heater you can start from your phone.
Handcrafted in Idaho Falls from 100% natural Western Red Cedar, with no glues or toxins in the build, the Ascent gives six people room to stretch out. Two tall side windows bring in daylight, the pitched steel roof sheds snow and rain, and the lower bench slides back when you want more floor space. The Homecraft Revive 9 kW heater connects over WiFi, so you can preheat from the app and walk into a sauna that is already hot. It reaches up to 200 F, the traditional Finnish range of 170 to 200 F.

Fit, power and setup
Plan for a level outdoor spot of about 84 by 72 inches, plus room to open the door. The heater runs on a dedicated 50A breaker with 6/3 wire, hardwired by a licensed electrician. Most owners spend about $500 to $1,500 on that, depending on the distance from the panel. The modular panels go together in about 3 to 5 hours with 2 to 3 people, using a power drill, rubber mallet, hammer and tape measure. It ships by freight, free to the contiguous US.
Good to know
- Built for outdoor use.
- The heater is hardwired, not plug-in, so book your electrician before delivery.
- A good fit if you sauna with family or friends and want room to lie back.
- Covered by a 3-year manufacturer warranty.
