A wide bowl of fire, a ring of chairs and nowhere else to be. The Classic 40" is a sculpted CORTEN fire pit that weathers to a warm, rust-colored patina.
Thick CORTEN steel
The bowl is 10-gauge CORTEN steel, about 3.4 mm thick. It forms a protective rust-colored patina and needs no paint, and Arteflame builds it to stay outside all year. It sits at 22" on a low base, or without a base for a built-in installation in masonry or an outdoor kitchen. This model has no cooktop; for one you can also cook on, look at the Classic 40" Fire Pit with Cooktop.

Questions buyers ask
Can I build it into my patio? Yes, choose "No Base" to set the bowl into masonry or an outdoor kitchen.
Can it go on a wood deck? A low base works like a fire pit and passes heat down, so Arteflame does not recommend low bases on wood or manufactured decks; use tiles or a grill mat underneath.
What fuel does it use? Hardwood such as hickory, oak, maple or fruit wood, or lump charcoal. Skip softwoods like pine and manufactured logs.
Can it run on gas? It is gas-ready: the center hole in the fire bowl takes a 1" gas pipe, for conversion by a professional installer.
How is it delivered? By freight, curbside, with free shipping in the contiguous US. Inspect the boxes before you sign, note any damage on the delivery receipt and report it within 48 hours of delivery.
