Dirt bikes, ATVs, and go-karts all deliver off-road fun, but they suit very different riders, ages, and skill levels. Here's how to think about the choice.
Dirt Bikes
Two wheels, the most rider skill required, and the widest performance range in our catalog — from 1,000W entry-level electric models to 8,000W pro builds, plus gas-powered options from 72cc trail bikes to 250cc performance machines. Balance and rider control matter more here than with any other off-road category.
Choose a dirt bike if the rider already has some two-wheel experience (bicycle or otherwise) and wants the most direct, skill-rewarding off-road experience.

ATVs
Four wheels bring stability a dirt bike doesn't have, while still delivering genuine off-road capability. Our lineup includes compact electric ATVs sized for younger riders alongside gas-powered models built for learning real terrain handling.
Choose an ATV if you want off-road capability with more stability than two wheels provide — often the better starting point for younger or newer riders.
Go-Karts
The most stable option of the three, with a seated, enclosed-feel driving position rather than a straddled riding position. Full-suspension electric and gas go-karts in our range are built for backyard and trail use, including 2-seat models for riding with a passenger.
Choose a go-kart if stability and an intuitive driving experience (steering wheel, pedals) matter more than the two-wheel skill-building aspect of a dirt bike.
Browse Electric and Gas Go-Karts.
Electric or Gas?
Across all three categories, electric models offer quieter operation, no fuel or exhaust, and instant torque, while gas models offer longer continuous run time without recharging and a traditional engine-powered feel. Neither is objectively better — it depends on where and how often you'll ride.
Battery Basics, If You Go Electric
If you choose an electric model, battery capacity (Wh) — not just voltage — determines real-world range. See our battery guide for what actually affects how far you'll ride.
